AEBC Moving Forward in the Next 30 Years

Weekly Digest - 2017-11-08 04:44:09

“Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord; seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence” (2 Peter 1:3-4).

In just one week ago, we concluded the week long packed full revival meetings, self-examination and Worship Unlimited with special thanksgiving and ordination rejoicing in the Lord of 30th Anniversary Celebration of our AEBC. To God be the glory for making that special event possible together with all our brothers and sisters from other churches and community. We also thank God for our invited preachers who challenged us how to move forward in the next 30 years as a local church by God’s grace.

It is now our turn to sincerely and internally get to work individually and corporately under the grace of God in Christ Jesus in the right way that He would want us to so do. The Bible passage quoted above assures that as believers in Christ Jesus, If indeed we are authentic and serious ones, God has granted to us everything we need as His children to live the Christian life of fruitfulness. It is based on His true knowledge and living it out in every area of our life and relationship as transformed people of God. We must forsake the old way of the flesh, sin and worldliness, but rather consciously intentionally be living the newness of life in Christ Jesus as per Romans 12:1-3 injunction. Everyone of us has major role to play in a positive way not in our own human wisdom and strength but in total dependence on God’s Holy Spirit and word inside us. That must be our purposeful focus henceforth to grow ourselves and AEBC in the next 30 years. My prayer is that we all work and walk with God daily in Jesus’ name to accomplish for God’s glory                                                                                                                                                         Dr. Johnson Omoni
