This Sunday, we are privileged to watch in our Church service a preview of the latest movie by the Flaming Fire Drama Ministry. It is titled, "Roaring Fears". I pray that we are blessed and positively impacted from what we would be learning together in view of the primary objective of this kind of ministry. Drama presentation is usually a reflection of what is going in the society and in people's life intended for the watchers and observers to learn and be wiser and better people rather than just for fun and entertainment. Looking forward during the week, I was inspired of the Holy Spirit to suggest that your life and mine in real sense is like a drama that people around us are watching beginning from our natural habitat, right in our homes. Those of us who are parents are daily teaching, training and influencing children and young ones around us. Unfortunately, not many of us parents take this task seriously, especially as we tend to live a life of "do as I say rather than do as I do". As people of God and disciples of Christ in the world, Apostle Paul characterizes us as an aroma of grace whose life is powerfully impacting others toward God. In 2 Corinthians 2:15-16, we are enjoined thus: "For we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing: to the one an aroma from death to death, to the other an aroma from life to life".
How often do we see our life as an aroma of sweetness and beauty reflecting the unconditional and sacrificial life of Christ who died for our sin and has thereby called us to be His ambassadors in our world (2 Corinthians 5:20)? In 2 Corinthians 13: 5, we are to daily examine our life as to whether we are keeping the faith: "Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you - unless indeed you fail the test? We are encouraged today as we watch this drama presentation, this could be your life and my life. How would you and I feel if our life is being displayed for the whole world to see? - Dr. Johnson Omoni
