Are you Troubled and Burdened?

Weekly Digest - Wed, 2 May, 2018

We live in a difficult and disjointed world whereby  by and large everything seems to be upside down. Hearing, saying and doing the truth appears to be something of the past; righteousness is grossly lacking while injustice prevails everywhere you turn. Innocent and Godly people are suffering and seemingly helpless and hopeless. Hence, many people are very troubled and wondering whether there is hope for humanity and whether the world would continue in this way. If you are one of that population, we must not give up because God in Christ Jesus is still on the throne and gives life to those who genuinely come to Him believing in the complete work of salvation on the Cross. Jesus sacrificed His own life so that you and I could have life and have it more abundantly or to the full (John 10:10). And this life He came to freely give us is real in spite of the unfairness and difficult challenges of this age.
Jesus extend to us a special invitation which no one else or human accomplishment could offer. In Matthew 11:28-30, Jesus beckons to you and I who may have no life, “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened in heart, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light. Jesus’s way is the right and best for those who are troubled for one thing or another; all other ways can simply not satisfy. He also said it clearly, “I am the way, and the truth and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6).  This is the privilege being enjoyed by all who genuinely have invited Jesus as Savior and Lord. If not yet, you are invited to be a part of God’s children and family in Christ Jesus (John 1:12).
